Practice Areas
Alejandro Mendez-Castillo, M.D., is an interventional radiologist, a specialist in
minimal invasive techniques using image guidance. His areas of expertise include endovascular
therapies for peripheral arterial and venous diseases; interventional oncology procedures
such as thermal ablation of either benign or malignant tumors in different organs
including lung, liver, kidney and bone; chemoembolization and radioembolization of
liver tumors; and treatment of spine compression fractures using vertebroplasty/kyphoplasty
techniques.
Mendez-Castillo uses multiplanar CT guidance to target lesions anywhere in the body
for therapeutic and/or diagnostic procedures, reducing treatment time and increasing
accuracy.
