Ali Malik, M.D., uses image guidance for minimally invasive procedures to treat a
wide variety of conditions. Using the latest techniques, he performs most procedures
through a 3-mm skin incision in the wrist or groin with comfortable sedation.
His particular interests include restoring blood flow in blocked arteries and veins
to help heal ulcers and avoid amputations; treating blood clots in the legs or lungs;
embolization to shrink uterine fibroids and enlarged prostates; embolization of the
portal vein to increase liver function before surgery; and embolization or ablation
of liver/renal tumors in non-surgical or transplant candidates.
Research Interests
- Improving the quality of life for patients with arterial/venous disease and uterine fibroids
