Mission Statement/Objectives:


The Family Justice Center is a program coordinated by the St. Louis Family Violence Council. Working with the City of St. Louis as well as area organizations and agencies committed to providing collaborative services for victims of domestic violence, the St. Louis Family Justice Center is a one-stop center that co-locates professionals and services under one roof to help victims and their children.
At the Family Justice Center, you will find victim advocates, police officers, prosecutors, forensic medical professionals, legal advocates, chaplains, counselors and support service professionals. All are there to assist victims of domestic violence break the cycle of violence and develop healthy, safe relationships.


Service Opportunities:


- Children’s Playroom (Child Monitors): Child Monitors will assist in the Children’s Play Area to provide care and comfort to children by providing attention to the children needs i.e., thirst, hunger, reading books and playing games, and maintaining order and sanitation.
- Hospitality Escorts: Provide comfort for guests waiting in the waiting room by assisting guests in locating Partner’s offices within the FJC, maintaining the waiting room (cleanliness and orderly), and maintaining an inventory of all supplies on hand
- Reception/In-take Volunteer: answer incoming phone calls, validate parking, sort and send mail, monitor and organize forms/documents
