WHO:

The Youth and Family Center, a community providing care and outreach to the people of North St. Louis.

WHAT:

Volunteers are needed for the Youth and Family Center Haunted House for the children. Help is needed for set-up the day before, as well as for the actual Haunted House.

Girls Incorporated of St. Louis, providing care for neglected girls in the St. Louis area.

WHAT:

Volunteers are needed for their annual Fall Festival. Help is needed to hand out candy and play games with the girls while they trick-or-treat within the center.

Catch A Falling Star, an organization that serves to strengthen the physical and social skills of children of all abilities, while promoting inclusion in everyday living.

WHAT:

Volunteers are needed to help with the annual Halloween Party for the children. Assistance is needed with games and activities such as face-painting, cookie decorating, hot potato, dancing, serving food and drinks, etc.

Saint Louis Science Center

WHAT:

Volunteers are needed for event set up for 3rd Annual Halloween
Extravaganza. Help is needed with set up, monitoring game stations, passing
out candy, and clean up.

WHEN:

Friday October 31st, 5:00pm-10:00pm (event runs 6:00pm-9:00pm);
commitment to at least a two hour shift appreciated

WHO: EnergyCare, an agency that provides energy-related services for low-income families with elderly, disabled, chronically ill and young children to enable a healthier and safer environment in their homes.
WHAT: Volunteers are needed for weatherization weekends of low-income homes. Students will work with staff members to help weatherize people's homes to cut down on energy costs this winter.
WHEN:

Help is needed from 8am-Noon on the following Saturdays:

Immigrant and Refugee Women's Program, providing outreach and support to refugee women and their children who are living in need in St. Louis.

WHAT:

Volunteers are needed to help with the “Harvest of Hope” Annual Trivia Night/Silent Auction. Volunteers are needed to be scorekeepers, bar workers, raffle ticket sellers, and any helpers for set-up the day before.

WHAT:

Volunteers are needed for their Annual Trivia Night fundraiser, monitoring/working the silent auction, acting as judges (reading/scoring answer sheets), working the PowerPoint presentation/slides, managing the local celebrity hosts, selling 50/50 raffle tickets, and helping facilitate other group games.

Volunteers are needed to assist with the SCORES Poetry Slam, where student ages 8-11 will be reciting poetry. Help is needed with set-up/tear-down, photography, judging, and with the parent reception.

WHAT:

Volunteers are needed to provide assistance with youth in the computer lab, helping them with their homework and instructing basic computer skills.

WHO:

Kids Enjoy Exercise Now (KEEN) St. Louis

WHAT:

Volunteers are needed to provide one-to-one sports coaching for children and teens with developmental and physical disabilities. No previous experience required; we provide training the first time you attend.

WHEN:

Session dates vary, but are always on Sunday afternoons from 1:45 – 4:15 pm. New coach orientation is from 1-1:45 and is offered before every session. See our website at www.keenstlouis.org for session dates. We have a really flexible volunteer policy - no regular or minimum commitment is necessary. Coaches simply attend sessions as their schedule allows.

Discovering Options, a not for profit organization committed to promoting positive change in the lives of children and adults who are in need.

WHAT: Mentors are needed to work one-on-one with a 4th or 5th grade at-risk child, providing mentoring and tutoring assistance.
WHEN: Days and times are completely up to volunteer; commitment is for 20 1 hour sessions throughout the semester or year.

WHO: Marian Middle School, Marian Hall is a small, not-for-profit Catholic school for girls in grades 6 through 8. Our academic curriculum is focused, caring, and intense, so each girl gets the attention she needs to succeed for life.
WHAT: Volunteers are needed for after-school tutoring sessions, working with the girls on their homework. Also needed are volunteers to lead specific programs with the girls, such as yoga, music, sports, etc.
