| For nearly 100 years, Big Brothers Big Sisters of Eastern Missouri has been bringing a little magic into everyday lives of children by matching them with adult volunteers in fun and rewarding relationships. Saint Louis University is proud to partner with BBBS to reach out to children in our surrounding community! |

WHAT WILL I DO AS A "BIG"?: You will the opportunity to be matched with a child who you will spend time with as a mentor. You and your "Little" can work together on school work, talk about friends and peer pressure, engage in fun hobbies or sports, play games, and just hang out together. And most importantly, you will be impacting a child's life in a positive way!
WHAT IS THE COMMITTMENT?: We ask that you commit to visiting with your Little for at least 1 hour/wk for the entire school year, either at his or her school during the school day, or in an after-school setting. We will work with your preferences, interests and scheduleto determine the best fit for you. What is most important is that you be consistent and committed! |

HOW WOULD I BENEFIT FROM BEING A BIG BROTHER OR BIG SISTER?: As a Big, you and your little will spend time getting to know one another and building a bond that can last a lifetime. You will be able to share your knowledge and experience with them, providing them valuable infomation about the importance of school and planning for the future. This can be an incredibly rewarding experience if you are able and willing to share your time and friendship with a child who needs you. |
