| America
Reads Tutorial Program |
| This
is a federally funded work-study program where students
tutor elementary through high school age children within
the areas of reading and math. Currently we are working
with the St. Louis Public Schools District, and four community
centers throughout the city. |
Students
who are interested in the program must complete
an America Reads application. The student's name
is submitted to financial aid to inquire if the
individual is eligible for federal work study. Upon
receiving documentation of eligibility from financial
aid an interview will be arranged. |
 |
Training
for America Reads program is conducted at the beginning
of the fall and spring semesters, but we accept
applications year-round. Students are trained on
educational techniques to utilize when tutoring
reading and math skills to elementary, middle and
high school students. |
