Mission Statement/Objectives:
The mission of Girls in the Know is to strengthen the mother-daughter bond through education while promoting positive self-esteem which will increase the likelihood of healthy behaviors and decisions as pre-teens mature into adulthood.

Service Opportunities:
Workshop Facilitators: This volunteer position consists of setting up for mother/daughter workshops, at various locations in the St Louis and surrounding areas (usually elementary and middle schools), introducing the speakers, taking notes about what occurred during the sessions, and then concluding the sessions. The volunteer will act as a liaison between the mothers/daughters in attendance, the speakers, and the executive director of Girls in the Know. The volunteer must be personable and comfortable speaking in front of a group.

Days/Times:
Mondays-Thursdays, 6-8pm (Two days per week, up to volunteer)
