Mission Statement/Objectives:

Catholic Charities Community Services Southside Center supports and strengthens St. Louis Metropolitan Area children, families, and communities by providing social services, mental health counseling, and anti-human trafficking advocacy in a bilingual, culturally sensitive environment. While those we serve continue to diversify, we will strive to meet their needs by providing comprehensive, culturally competent services to the immigrant and refugee populations of the community.

Service Opportunities:

  • Youth Program Volunteer: Volunteers are needed to provide direct assistance to children of immigrant families in after-school programs that include social growth and development groups as well as tutoring. Volunteers are expected to model positive behaviors, assist with classroom management, provide one-on-one instruction and guidance, and provide individualized homework help.
  • Case Manager: Provide comprehensive, culturally competent case management for the diverse immigrant and refugee client population served by the organization. The volunteer would be responsible for assessment, service planning, and record keeping for clients seeking direct aid, referral services, and advocacy, with a focus on helping clients navigate the necessary systems to address medical bills.
  • Child Care Provider: Multiple volunteers are needed who can provide childcare to children ages 0-3. By providing childcare, the volunteers allow the children's mothers access to attend a support group. Bilingual skills in English and Spanish are helpful but not required.

  • Case Manager: Any time Mondays-Fridays, 8:30am-5:00pm.
